From beginners to pro-level, Drifting SA brings the action to South Australia’s top tracks. Whether you’re behind the wheel, jumping in for the passenger ride of your life, or cheering from the sidelines – our events are made for everyone.

About Drifting SA

Drifting SA is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit club dedicated to growing drifting in South Australia. We’re lucky to call The Bend Motorsport Park and Mallala Motorsport Park our home tracks.

Our events are put together with safety, good structure, and driver experience front of mind. Their delivery is led by Stewy Bryant & Renae Sullivan, with support from a committed team of volunteers who help make everything run smoothly on the day.

Whether you want to drive, ride shotgun, or just soak up the atmosphere, come along to a Drift School, Freestyle Day, or Competition Round.

Drift School

Our “bring your own car” Drift School is run across both wet and dry tracks in a super safe and controlled environment, with instructors available to jump in the car with you or provide advice from the outside.  We also have Learn2Drift hire car sessions for those who would like to give drifting a go before they commit to buying a car!

Freestyle & Practice Days

We run relaxed freestyle and practice days across different tracks and layouts, with groups to suit all skill levels. These events are all about seat time and fun – no judging, no pressure. Whether you’re linking your first corners or chasing your mates in tandems, you can drive at your own pace. Unlike Drift School (which is guided) or Competition (which is scored), freestyle days let you explore drifting your way.

Competition

The SA State Series is unique due to its innovative qualifying and judging system and fast-paced battle format, all designed to test drivers’ skill, precision, and adaptability. Our advanced competitors compete in the L1 Category, while our new competitors have the opportunity to build skills and confidence in the L2 category.

We also have national level Drift Collective – set for Saturday 7 March 2026 at the Bend.

Booking an Event

We release Driver Entries and Spectator Tickets approximately 4 weeks prior to each event. Come back closer to the event if you can’t enter / buy tickets yet. See Pro Rides & Passenger Passes for more details about passenger rides.

Check out our Vehicle Requirements and Licensing pages if you need more information about what is required to enter our events.

Interested media should visit the Media Accreditation page.

At Drifting SA, we believe drifting thrives when the community lifts each other up. We’re proud to support and promote other grassroots and independent drifting events – not just our own. Check out the wider drift calendar here.

Drifting is more than a sport – it’s a community. Follow us on Facebook or Instagram and explore this site to find out how to get started, what events are coming up, and what it to takes to become a competition driver.

Planning to drive with us regularly? You can save on event entry by becoming a member. You’ll get early entry to events and save at least $50 per event.

Want to try drifting but don’t have a car? Our ‘Learn 2 Drift’ sessions are the perfect taster. We’ll supply the drift car, the helmet, and your own personal instructor.

You’ll spend 30 minutes on a wet skidpan learning how to control a drift, starting with donuts around a cone and moving to figure 8s – all in a safe, fun environment.

“…Most competitive field of drivers”
“…The atmosphere is insane”
“…You guys put on the best events, the best vibes!”

Don’t just take our word for it… watch this video to hear what Grant Anderson, Jake Jones, Mike Lake, Cam Marton and Christina Vithoulkas think about our events!
